The Bee Chromosome database (Hymenoptera: Apidae)

چکیده
The bee diversity (Apidae) estimative ranges from 18,000 to 20,000 species worldwide. Together, they show an impressive in morphological, ecological, and behavioral traits, there is still much be understood about their taxonomy systematics. Their chromosome count variability genome biology are also astonishing. To date, around 200 have already been karyotyped, with numbers varying n = 3 28, nuclear haploid sizes available for approximately 70 a variation of 1C 0.19 pg 1.38 pg. Bee Chromosome database was created ( www.bees.ufop.br ) summarize the Apidae cytogenetic knowledge by assembling all information published on bees. Considering importance studies taxonomy, phylogeny, genetics, systematics, conservation, evolution, main goal this outline advances field cytogenetics over last century.

Effects of honey bee (Hymenoptera: Apidae) and bumble bee (Hymenoptera: Apidae) presence on cranberry (Ericales: Ericaceae) pollination.
Honey bees, Apis mellifera L., are frequently used to pollinate commercial cranberries, Vaccinium macrocarpon Ait., but information is lacking on the relative contribution of honey bees and native bees, the effects of surrounding vegetation on bee visitation, and on optimal timing for honey bee introduction. We begin with a descriptive study of numbers of honey bees, bumble bees, and other bees...
متن کاملThe melectine bee genera Brachymelecta and Sinomelecta (Hymenoptera, Apidae)
The enigmatic, cleptoparasitic bee genera Brachymelecta Linsley and Sinomelecta Baker (Apinae: Melectini) are redescribed, each represented by a single species which has not been reencountered since capture of the type series ca. 1878 and 1900, respectively. Both genera are the only melectines to possess two submarginal cells in the forewing but are otherwise wholly dissimilar. Brachymelecta mu...
متن کاملPhysical-Chemical Parameters of Honey of Stingless Bee (Hymenoptera: Apidae)
The objective of this study was to evaluate the physico-chemical quality of honeys samples of stingless bee (Meliponinae). Physico-chemical analyses were: moisture, color, pH, acidity, electrical conductivity, hydroxymethylfurfural, ashes, diastasic activity, reducing sugars, and sucrose. For the parameters hydroxymethylfurfural, ashes, reducing sugars and sucrose, the samples complied with the...
متن کاملAn Early Miocene bumble bee from northern Bohemia (Hymenoptera, Apidae)
A new species of fossil bumble bee (Apinae: Bombini) is described and figured from Early Miocene (Burdigalian) deposits of the Most Basin at the Bílina Mine, Czech Republic. Bombus trophoniussp. n., is placed within the subgenus Cullumanobombus Vogt and distinguished from the several species groups therein. The species is apparently most similar to the Nearctic B. (Cullumanobombus) rufocinctus ...

The orchid bee genus Eufriesea Cockerell is documented for the first time from the southwestern United States, extending its apparent range north well beyond its previous tropical/subtropical boundaries. Eufriesea coerulescens (Lepeletier de Saint Fargeau 1841) is recorded from the Guadalupe Mountains of western Texas and southeastern New Mexico, USA. Whether E. coerulescens is resident in the ...
